Tenant News

As the redevelopment of the campus continues to move forward, the Brooks Development Authority wants to keep our tenants abreast of information impacting tenant relations at Brooks City-Base. The tenant news page on our website will provide pertinent information to ensure quality property management. Below are the latest updates for all activities on campus as well as any road closures and detour routes.

Around Roads & Grounds.  While several street and road construction projects are now complete or nearing completion on Brooks City-Base, BDA still encourages employees, residents and guests to exercise care when driving on Brooks.  There is still additional work to complete, so please be alert for construction barrier and vehicles.

Reminder: San Antonio and Brooks City-Base are still in Stage Two drought restrictions for water use and probably will continue to be throughout the summer according to the San Antonio Water System (SAWS).    Watering with an irrigation system or sprinkler is allowed only once a week according to the last number on your street address and only from 3-8:00 a.m. and 8-10:00 p.m.  More information may be found on the SAWS website at: http://www.saws.org/conservation/aquifermgmt/stage2.shtml

SAWS Waterline Project: The San Antonio Water Systems (SAWS) will be conducting several waterline projects on the Brooks City-Base campus this year.  The contractor will provide traffic control when work will impact road and traffic lane access.  Below are the areas that SAWS contractors will be working:

Line A:  Work will begin at Enos Street extend south, then east to Fam Camp Road.  Work in this area will begin March 18, 2013 and extend through April 22, 2013.

Line B:  Line B will begin along the south side of Flight Nurse from Dave Erwin Road then east past Laser Road.  Work in this area will begin April 22, 2013 and run through May 10, 2013.

Line C:  The Line C project area will run north to south along the west side of Dave Erwin Drive.  It will begin at the intersection of Sidney Brooks and Dave Erwin and extend north.  Work in this area is scheduled to begin June 24, 2013 and extend to July 24, 2013.
